On 24th September 2025, Students of Form 4 and 5 participated in the SkilLit Book Club Capstone Project, reflecting on “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl through meaningful and creative expression.

Guided by the central question, “What did we take away from the book?”, learners showcased their understanding through:

Posters and poems
Models and LEGO creations
Performances and roleplays
Digital media presentations and puppet shows
Games and art using recycled materials

They explored the story from multiple perspectives, identified problems within the narrative, and imagined alternative scenarios grounded in their own ideas.

The project included hands-on activities such as using newspapers and recycled paper bags, composing poems, building models with puzzle pieces, and creating collaborative projects.

The showcase featured puppet shows, games, roleplays, and more, highlighting a wide range of student talent and interpretation.

This initiative fostered essential skills such as:

Critical thinking
Creativity
Communication
Collaboration
Social reflection

By connecting literature with the world around them, students deepened their understanding while expressing their ideas with imagination and confidence.
