The students of Form 2 had the privilege of attending an inspiring and educational interactive lecture by Mr. Madhu Manickam, a renowned wildlife photographer with nearly two decades of experience in capturing the beauty of nature and wildlife across the globe.
Through his remarkable work and real-life experiences, Mr. Madhu beautifully illustrated how our world offers endless opportunities for meaningful connections among people from diverse countries, cultures, and backgrounds — perfectly aligning with the Unit’s Central Idea on global connections and harmony with nature.
During the engaging session, he shared captivating insights about our planet and explained how people live in harmony with nature in different regions. He began by describing how islands are formed through volcanic eruptions, using Indonesia as an example — a breathtaking country made up of thousands of islands created through such natural processes.
Students also learned how the people of Indonesia stay connected through trade and transportation, using ships and boats to carry food, goods, and materials between islands.
The session was truly enlightening and inspired students to appreciate the beauty, diversity, and interconnectedness of life on Earth.
