A series of enriching workshops were conducted to strengthen teachers’ competencies across key areas of education from 27th to 29th April 2026.
The Inclusive Education workshop by Dr. Raman focused on student counselling, equipping educators with skills in empathy, validation, and effective communication to support students’ emotional and academic well-being.
A Special Education workshop led by Mrs. Sujatha Sriram and supported by Mrs. Priya Srinivasan focused on identifying children with special needs. It emphasized early detection, inclusive practices, and collaboration among educators and parents. The session enhanced awareness, reduced stigma, and equipped participants with practical strategies to support diverse learners effectively.
The Cyber Security – Digital Safety workshop by Dr. Ashwathy Prakash highlighted child protection laws such as POCSO, POSH, and the JJ Act, emphasizing the role of teachers in safeguarding students and ensuring a secure digital environment, followed by a cybersafe pledge.
The workshop Thinking Together, led by Mr. Ashwin Prabhu, encouraged a shift from content-based to context-based learning, promoting the use of real-world environments and student-centered teaching practices.
Together, these workshops empowered educators to create safe, inclusive, and meaningful learning experiences.
