The field trip to Guindy National Park on Friday, 13th February, served as a meaningful and enriching learning experience for our Form 1 students under the transdisciplinary theme “Sharing the Planet.” The visit provided an authentic opportunity for students to explore and understand the interconnectedness between natural and man-made elements within their environment.
During the excursion, students carefully observed a wide range of natural components, including trees, plants, birds, insects, and animals. They also identified various man-made features within the park, such as pathways, fences, signboards, and shelters.
Through structured observation and guided discussions, the students demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, and strong inquiry skills. They engaged thoughtfully by posing relevant questions and articulating their observations with peers and teachers.
Overall, the experience effectively reinforced classroom learning and deepened students’ awareness of environmental responsibility and sustainability.
