On August 9th Hiroshima Day, Primary Years Programme (PYP) students at The Pupil International participated in meaningful activities to understand the significance of this historic day and promote peace. The day began with educational videos that provided historical context and highlighted the importance of global peace.
Students engaged in various activities, including creating illustrations of peace, writing reflective essays, and committing to acts of kindness. Younger students depicted symbols of harmony, such as doves and hearts, while older students reflected on the role of peace in their lives and committed to positive actions.
These activities fostered a deeper appreciation for peace and encouraged personal growth, aligning with the development of positive learner attributes.
