We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of our Form 8 students—Kavimuhilan, Mallesh M, and Yeswant Balaji—who were at the finals of the prestigious “Innovate for Rural India” (i3R2) Makeathon, at T-Works, Hyderabad, in September Competing against 100 teams from across the country, they emerged as one of the top nine finalists, showcasing their innovative thinking and dedication to solving real-world issues.
The project on Atmospheric Water Generator, addresses the critical issue of water scarcity in a rural village near Madurai. This device captures moisture from the air and converts it into potable water, offering a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to the water shortages faced by rural India. The judges commended the project for its practicality and potential to make a meaningful impact.
The i3R2 Makeathon provided the students with a valuable platform to demonstrate their skills, along with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to state-of-the-art technology. This experience gathered here has been a powerful journey, emphasizing the importance of creativity, innovation, and collaboration in tackling the pressing societal challenges.
