As part of the Collaborative Science Project (CSP), students explored the effectiveness of sunscreens with different SPF levels (20, 30, 50+, 60, 70) using the cyanotype process. They applied sunscreen to a transparent sheet, exposed it to UV light, and analyzed the prints to measure UV protection. The study revealed varied returns with higher SPFs and reinforced that no sunscreen offers 100% protection. This hands-on project enhanced students’ knowledge of science, teamwork, and ethical inquiry, fostering curiosity and innovation.
