An exciting day as MYP students immersed themselves in the intricacies of organ systems, genetics, and lifestyle impacts at Saveetha Dental College on August 30 2023. Dr. Lavanya’s warm welcome set the tone for the journey. The students were divided into two groups: Group 1 (Form 8-10) delved into pollution effects on Zebrafish & water filtration, guided by a proficient professor. Group 2 (Form 6-7) explored the fascinating world of cadavers, encountering human organs & skeletal structures. Group 1 (Form 8-10) continued to broaden their horizon during the second half of the day by visiting the Cadaver rooms. They delved deep into the preservation process of human bodies & organs. The grand finale encompassed a concise yet enlightening introduction to genetics, spotlighting the identification of mutations in DNA’s ATGC combinations. The students left with minds enriched and a keen interest for future visits. The field trip sparked curiosity, inspiring young minds to uncover the marvels of science. An unforgettable experience that igni ted a passion for learning!
